TJ Stockdale Memorial Scholarship
The Jersey Shore Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation seeks applicants for the academic year 2007 - 2008 TJ Stockdale Memorial Scholarship. Undergraduate students who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to our beaches and waves consistent with the Surfrider Mission are invited to apply. This $1,000 award will be given to one undergraduate or graduate student based upon the merits displayed in his/her completed application.

A resident of Ocean Grove, New Jersey, Trevor "TJ" Stockdale (pictured) started surfing at the age of 8. His dad, Danny, also a life-long surfer, introduced TJ to surfing, and together they shared many surf adventures. He was a longtime employee and team rider for Eastern Lines Surf Shop in Belmar. He was a senior member of the Ocean Grove Lifesaving Association and Ocean Grove Surfing Association.

TJ loved the ocean and loved to surf. It was not only his playground, it was his home. He left behind his parents Danny and Wendy, sister Casie, and his crew at Eastern Lines Surf Shop. It is an honor for us to be able to offer this scholarship in his name.
